Ethan patted her hand. "Well, what would you say if I told you I could stop almost all of that with a simple text?" He asked, flashing her another smile. When she wiped the tears away and said she probably looked silly, Ethan simply shook his head 'no.' "Sometimes the strongest people are the ones who show their pain." He offered, smiling brightly at her.
He noticed that the rest of the room had fallen quiet, and most of the girls were staring at him. He didn't move his hand off Lissy's, and instead, turned back to her to ignore the rest of the class. They all went back to chatting about the project, while some still groaned at the mere idea of the project. Ethan smiled. He had a smart partner to work with this time. She was pretty to boot. Not to mention, she was one of those people that needed his help, and giving it was the least he could do.
When Lissy spoke up again, Ethan smiled. "Great! I can meet you in front of the office doors, okay? We can walk there together and get started!" He said, enthusiasm sparkling in his blue eyes. He looked at the clock hanging on the wall. This class would be dismissed soon, and he had one more to go to before he could head off to the library. He sighed. He wondered what his Algebra 1 class had in store for him today. He leaned back casually in his desk, deciding to enjoy the last few minutes he didn't have to write. His arms were folded across his chest and he glanced back at Lissy, smiling. "So, what do you like history so much?" He wondered.

“I don’t know if I could believe that to be honest, it just seems like a lie to me” Lissy said quietly just shaking her head knowing that she sure would like to believe that though. It would make things in her life a lot easier but she knew that nothing in her life could truly ever be easier when she was still alive and she had no plans on dying anytime soon, she would just need to fight through the pain really. If that was even possible anymore since she just hated so many aspects of her life, a life she entitled merely just hell in itself since everyday always seemed like a constant battle depending on her mood and how she viewed things. She normally tended to have some pretty bad days though, like everyone had and she just worked on really living each day one at a time as she moved her way through her life. “I guess that’s true but I still hate what people say about me” she mumbled with small sigh glancing around the room.
He glanced around the room sighing at all the girls who just seemed to be looking at Ethan and glaring at her, oh yes because Ethan was touching her hand. Oh she could see the rumors now and she shuddered at the very thought of them, she hated when people said things that weren’t true about her without even known an ounce of the truth. “So I have a feeling we can do really well on this project” she said truthfully and quietly sorta looking own just trying to make some form of conversation with him, it seemed almost hopeless her being as awkward as she seemed to be right now.
She nodded in response as to where they ought to meet up, that sounded just perfect. That sounds great” she said nodding her head running her fingers through her hair almost glad class was almost over, “oh well that’s simple. History is about the past, and I like learning about the past, it’s actually really interesting in some cases too “she shrugged.

Ethan nodded. "I know it seems unlikely, but if you know Nakita Svetlana, my older sister, you'd know what I mean." He said, with a slightly bitter chuckle. It wasn't that he hated his sister; the two of them just had a love-hate relationship, and today, well... It was hate day for the duo.
"Everyone hates what people say about them. Whether they want to admit it or not." He said to her, smiling his heart-stopping smile. He chuckled as she stated something about doing well on the project. "With a smart girl like you? Yeah. I'm pretty sure. Plus, I'm actually willing to help out on this project." He said with a laugh. His hands were now folded in his lap before he lifted one to move his hair out of his eyes again.
Ethan smiled at her reply to meeting up in front of the school's office. "Great! What class do you have next, so I'll know which way to look for you?" He asked, laughing at himself. He couldn't tell if she was still a bit nervous around him or not, but she didn't really seem to be, which was a good sign. She then went on to answer his question about history and her love for it. "Ah. I see. So, you like looking at past relations then?" He asked, trying to clarify exactly why she liked the subject.

“What about her, I mean not to really be rude or anything but I don’t exactly know her” Lissy said softly. She was just known to really keep to herself and to her friends so she didn’t really know anyone else that there was around the school, she just really seemed to know who she knew and that was that. She was actually slightly afraid of people, she had no idea why but she just sorta was and because of this she tried just avoiding everyone. Stupid move in her part but oh well.
“I guess that’s true” Lissy sighed to herself tangling her fingers in her hair with a shrug, she guessed she was pretty smart but she wasn’t really ever one to judge herself in a really positive way, she just seemed to be all about the negative stuff, it wasn’t a good way of thinking and she knew that. She just didn’t quite know how to really think otherwise, “oh you better help. No way am I doing this project all by myself” she crossed her arms over her chest shaking her head, she just really needed the help or she was sure she would go mad.
“Oh English” she mumbled, she liked English. It was the people in her class that she didn’t like, guess that’s what she got for taking the more advanced English course, a bunch of stuck up idiots who just liked being annoying. “Hmm yes I suppose you can say that” she nodded.

Ethan shrugged. "She stands up for people getting bullied. She'd stand up for you in a heartbeat, whether she knew you or not." He said simply, shrugging again as if it were no big deal. To him, it really wasn't. He couldn't do much but handle the guys, and even then, he had to worry about being tag teamed. The guys here were obviously wimps. They couldn't fight their own battles without back-up. Pretty pathetic, really. Disappointing, too.
Ethan gave Lissy a half smile as she half-agreed with him, then glanced around the room. He felt it would be awkward to just keep looking at Lissy, so he diverted his attention elsewhere until she spoke. He couldn't help but laughing at he turned his attention back to her. "No worries. I will. I promise." He said with a whole-hearted smile. He placed his right hand over his heart and lifted his left hand, as if he were in court and swearing an oath to tell the truth to the judge and jury.
Lissy then mentioned her next class and Ethan beamed. "Alright! Then, I'll see you after this class." He said, looking up at the clock for probably the hundredth time that class. There were only a few minutes left of his history class, and then the bell would ring to dismiss the students. Lucky for him, his history class was small. That meant that the teacher always gave them extra time to mingle after all their work had been completed, and the teacher said what he'd needed. "Want me to walk you to class?" Ethan asked, surprising himself by his question.

"Well it's a good thing that she stands up for people who are bullied I suppose, because not a lot of people seem to do that anymore. They just seem to stand around and just watch it happen and it's kinda sad to witness that, people just letting these kinds of things happen. It just gets to the point where it all becomes to much and you just believe the things people say and when that happens you just find yourself in the wrong, it's as if everything people say is true and you are just a bad ugly person because people say you are. If people call you fat, that makes you fat even if you might be the skinniest person ever, you still go and believe what others say" she said quietly. She would know from experience, years of being harrassed really did seem to get to her and here she was years later pretty much killing herself slowly.
"Good" she smiled ever slightly nodding her head glad that she would at least be getting help with the project, instead of doing everything herself. Even though she did believe she worked better alone, it was always nice to have help for projects where she had a partner and some people just seemed to think that since she was smart it was just an easy A and they didn't do any of the work which in a way both got on her nerves and actually upsetted her, because they didn't really even work for that grade.
"That sounds perfect" she said gathering up her tihngs to get ready for English, her second favorite class as a lover of writing and poetry. She had over ninety poems just written in a journal, sure she never let anyone ever read them because they were actually all pretty depressing poems but she still wrote them. "Walk me to class" she tilted her head to the side, "well him if you want to sure" she nodded her head slightly.
