Lissy loved the zoo, because she just loved animals so the zoo was just the place she found herself being today. Her hair down she pulled her jacket closer to herself with a sigh, even though it was a better day then most she found herself being cold a problem she was happening a lot lately. She figured it had to do with the fact she was starving herself, the loss of body temperature was a symptom of that right. She remembered learning about that in her health class when they were talking about eating disorders, but she didn't have an eating disorder. She just wanted to lose a few pounds; she was always checking the mirror like other girls, only a few times a day and there wasn't anything wrong with that right. A lot of people wanted to lose weight and no one ever bothered them about it, no one ever asked them questions and beside it wasn't like a lot of people knew what she was doing anyways. Only a few of her friends knew, and she made them swear not to tell anyone no matter how bad it got and the way things were going it would end badly.
Sure keeping things from her brother tended to be a little extreme though, she never use to hide things from him but this was just something that she had to hide. She didn't want to worry him, that was in fact the last thing she ever wanted to do but she knew that skipping meals and counting calories was going to affect her in the long run. Looking around the zoo she smiled looking at the monkeys, one of her favorite animals. She even collected stuffed animals, and thinking about it now she was sure she had over two hundred, all of different animals she collected over the years. It just went to show that she was really in love with animals and that wasn’t going to ever change.

when you smile at the ground it aint hard to tellY o u d o n t k n o w y o u r e b e a u t i f u lFor Brandon, it was absolutely impossible for him to sit around his dorm and do nothing. If he tried, he'd probably have an anxiety attack. Usually he could chill with Marshal, as he was his dorm mate, but he was out and about today (hanging with Caedyn, no doubt). So, after a pitiful paper/waste basket game of basketball, he grabbed his car key's and locked up the dorm. It was chilly, and he was thankful for the college sweatshirt he wore. not to mention, perhaps the college logo would remind people he was indeed older then he appeared, since he still kept his boyish looks. Before he new it he was in his car, heading further down Seattle with no clue of where he was going.
Honestly, it wouldn't be the first time he took a random car ride for the hell of it. They were very relaxing, and it was no wonder he liked them so much, seeing as his mom would tackle a baby Brandon into his car seat and ride around the neighborhood to get him to stop crying. He drove with the stereo on, concentrating mostly on the road ahead when he passed by the zoo. He blinked a couple times before it registered. The zoo! Perhaps that would give his mind something to do. He had to do a U turn, as he had already passed the zoo (whether or not it was legal, well, he'd think of the basics later). He parked, searching through his pockets for a good five minutes before he found his wallet.
After he was in the Zoo, Brandon wasn't sure what to do next. Look at the animals, obviously, though he was usually in the presence of his band mates. He stuffed his hands in his sweatshirt pockets, slowly, thoughtfully walking and observing the animals. They interested him, and watching them in their habitats and reading the little facts they give about the animal in front of the exhibits kept him calm and entertained. Although a lot of things ate at the nineteen year old, he sure was easily entertained. He tore his eyes off from the owl exhibit and walked until he reached the monkeys. He couldn't help but notice he wasn't alone, and stood near his right was pretty, younger girl. He'd actually noticed her before, though he also noticed she looked...happier now. She was smiling at the intelligent- but silly - animals, and he couldn't help but smile a little as well. Deciding that speaking up wasn't that bad of a decision, he said "Out of all of the animals here, monkeys are secretly the animals we look most forward to, huh?" he asked timidly.

Looking at the monkeys Lissy couldn’t help but smile, she loved the monkeys in the zoo and watching them just act silly. Not to mention that monkeys were just so adorable, she liked adorable monkeys and smiling a little bit to herself and the funny thing is was that it was actually a true smile and not one of her fake ones. She wasn’t truly happy often anymore, and that almost made the sixteen year old seem depressed and in a way she was. She was doing horrible things to herself and she knew that, and the sad thing is she really didn’t seem to care to much either. In her eyes it was her life so why should she really even care about it, she was doing things to herself that could get her killed.
That was just the last thing on her mind though, she was never scared of death and her mother didn’t seem to care much about her either. Her parents didn’t even know what was going on with her, her brother was truly the only one who really cared about her and not even he knew what was going on. Only really a few people did, and they promised that they would never tell anyone about it. She would tell people when she felt it was the right time to and now just really didn’t seem like that time. She was actually a little scared to tell people what was going on, because she was actually scared of what they would say about it. In fact she was scared of what anyone would say if they knew, her two best friends were really the only ones that knew right now and they sure didn’t react to well when they found out either. They were not always worried about her, and she honestly hated when people worried about her.
Just looking at the monkeys she jumped when she heard Brandon’s voice turning her head to look at him nodding slightly, his college sweatshirt showed that he was a college student but he didn’t look to much older than she was. “Oh yes indeed, but I do like all the animals here a lot. The zoo is probably my favorite place to be because I just love animals, I even walked here because well being only fifteen I don’t really have a car and a license and I just hate being stuck in my house” Lissy said quietly looking at Brandon. “I’m Lissy” she added taking her hat off for a moment to run her fingers through her hair. Some people seemed to say she could pass for being a little older then she was though, at least sixteen to seventeen.

when you smile at the ground it aint hard to tellY o u d o n t k n o w y o u r e b e a u t i f u l"yeah, I know the feeling" he said with a small, lazy smile before adding hastily "the uh, the not liking to be stuck in the house, I mean" even around girls much younger the him, Brandon still managed to be bit of a dork. He wasn't quite as smooth as the other guys in his band, and usually tried to keep to himself. Sometimes that made him feel like the weak link, but his role amongst his band wasn't what ate at him at night- it was the anxiety. He tried to desperately hide it and play cool, but the more he pushed it away without doing anything about it the worse it got. He wondered briefly for a moment if his bandmates had noticed, but immediately wrote that off. If they had, they were good at keeping to themselves, and that was all he really knew.
Brandon smiled politely "Im Brandon, it's nice to meet you" he felt lame for not saying anything cooler, even if his intentions weren't to get Lissy to swoon. He didn't have an British accent, much like Marshal, and wasn't sure if that was a bad thing. He'd seen girls practically give Caedyn their underwear just cause he had a cool accent. Then again, Marshal had seemed to have no problem with smooth talking the ladies before he settled for Caedyn. That was still a shocking realization- Marshal and Caedyn together. He'd read about it in the tabloids, but hadn't really asked either party yet. It wasn't a bad thing, honestly.
Brandon felt a water droplet land on his cheek. He looked up, wiping away the water as he took in the dark, gray, menacing clouds. He turned back to Lissy. "Hey Lissy...you, uh, want to look at the indoor exhibits? Looks like it's gonna poor soon" he offered, asking since he hadn't seen her with anybody and, well, just about anything can be fun with company. He then realized it was probably a pretty odd situation, a college student asking the company of a high schooler. He wasn't necessarily a creep, and he hoped she wouldn't take it that way, even though in the back of his mind he did find her cute. He couldn't act out on that observation, however, cause that wasn't really him. Not him at all.

Lissy laughed and nodded a little bit, “I understand what you meant” she said with a small smile finding it almost funny how awkward he seemed to be. She of course didn’t see anything wrong with it either, in fact she always found awkward boys east to talk to being only ever slightly awkward and even a little dorky herself. Sure she had her whole mix and mess of problems and issues in her life as well but it seemed that everyone had those, they were only a part of life and nothing you could do would be able to change or get rid of said problems so the only thing you could really do was take things like a man and suffer the consequences of your actions. Lissy for example was starting to see the consequences of her actions due to fainting spells, and just being very underweight.
“You’re in that one band aren’t you, I read the tabloids about your two friends and I just thought it was just awful the way they were exploited like what but the blogger goes with anything that can cause drama and sounds like some form of news. It doesn’t matter who gets hurt in the process and who it’s about” then again she was just glad that there was nothing about her and the fact that she hardly ever ate and was always counting calories, it was pretty suspicious. “It’s hard to even have a life anymore, which in my opinion is just pathetic” Lissy sighed surprised she was even talking this much. She was actually never really known to even talk that much, a girl of only a few words if you will.
Looking at the sky as it began to only get gloomier she frowned before nodding her head, “yes I suppose getting inside would be the smarted ides and I do like the indoor exhibits” she smiled a little bit looking at him. She always did realize that since it was raining she was screwed when she did finally decide that she should be heading home. Besides she saw nothing wrong with spending time with someone new, she was always happy to meet new people and make new friends. Her brother was always telling her to go meet new people, so it was time that she tried to go and make that effort.

when you smile at the ground it aint hard to tellY o u d o n t k n o w y o u r e b e a u t i f u lBrandon smiled when she laughed at his awkwardness, glad that her laugh wasn't mocking. He honestly couldn't say that he'd be to heart broken if one high schooler didn't like him, though he as glad the young teen was good natured so far. His anxiety wasn't as bad as earlier when he had nothing to do, but he still couldn't help but pull at the sleeve of his sweatshirt, not to mention there was that feeling that always crept up on him and made him feel to alert, to tense of everything around him. By now it probably just appeared his was cold and a bit awkward, which he was thankful for. Part of the reason he kept his anxiety hidden was because he didn't want to jeopardize the band or have people think he was a freak.
Ha smiled as she brought up the band "Yeah, I am." he turned weary at the mention of the tabloids, and he peered out at the monkeys "You're right. I get frustrated everytime I read the tabloids, but now that they've invaded my friends privacy..." Brandon shook his head- he always had the need to defend the ones he loved, but it seemed there was nothing he could do about the news reports about the two bandmates being together. He honestly had nothing to worry about, unless whoever the writer of the gossip column was wanted to point out that he was the "awkward" band mate, though that was probably obvious in itself. He didn't mind having the role he did, and he'd seen plenty of letters and pictures of fans telling him it was cute, though he found it anything but. He didn't find much cute about anxiety, though he loved his fans and embraced his apparent cuteness.
Brandon smiled a tad and made a gesture towards the indoor exhibits "after you, then" he had his boyish looks, yes, but he also still preserved some boyish charm. He wasn't flirting, exactly, but just being friendly. He walked beside her, his hands in his sweatshirt pockets again. "So, are you a fan of the band?" he asked, bringing up his biggest passion because it was just so...easy to talk about. Music as always a good topic to break the ice with because just about everyone loved it, well, except for one of his college professors, though he was grouch anyway. He didn't very much appreciate Brandon and Marshal singing the study guide, even if the boys were just trying to make it more interesting for everyone else.

Lissy couldn’t help but laugh at Brandon’s awkwardness because in a way it was really just sorta cute and smiling a little bit she looked at him thinking, he sure was a lot cuter in person. Of course she knew of him being a fan of him and his band but she wouldn’t go and admit that she thought he was cute or anything of course, that would just be a silly thing to do and besides she knew that he was older then her anyways so there would never be any kind of chance. He was legal for one thing, and she was just a mere young high school student, she was only a sophomore for Pete’s sake. She honestly shouldn’t even be worry about boys yet but she was, and she knew the kinds of things they seemed to say about her and she also knew that some of those things weren’t quite positive either.
“Ha I thought you looked familiar” she said the moment he told her she was in a band, she was fans of them and just loved their music. “It must annoy you even more now that it hits home, it’s about your friends your band mates whose personal lives shouldn’t even matter to anyone other than themselves. Besides I for one always had it in my mind they belonged together, Caedyn never quite seemed completely straight to me” she shrugged her shoulders. It was just really her opinion and she hoped he didn’t get mad at her for voicing it, some people hated when others talked about the people they cared about in that way.
Walking to the indoor exhibits she nodded her head, “yeah I’m a fan as you can probably tell since I know Caedyn’s name already and Marshal’s. Caedyn, Marshal, Crispin, you, and Ryan right, you guys are really talented and I like that you’re all really close” she smiled a little bit. “I’m not good at anything music wise, so I just stick to what I am good at I guess” she shrugged. She was good at really just school stuff, she was also known to just stick with what she was good at too, it was a lot easier that way really.
