Elli is known for his eccentric clothing choices as well as his high-horse attitude. Now don't get me wrong, Elli would never pass up the opportunity to help someone he is close to, but strangers are of no interest to him. And even his closest friends will tell you he's a neurotic, selfish person. But he has this wild charisma that makes you want to be his friend but hate him at the same time. Elli is the queen of parties considering he used to help his older cousin at a nightclub back in Manhattan. Elli, having been raised around nightclubs and a psychotic mother, knows you never just arrive. You make an entrance! This is something that has helped him with his persuits at drama over the years, making him a headlining star at many LA shows. He wants to be something, a name everyone remembers. In other words he wants to be famous. And by george he won't hestitate to step on you on his climb up the social ladder. In an attempt to make an appearance every room he enters he is obsessed with being beautiful which comes across as vainity.

But as with every great star he has his share of dyfunctions. Elli is a terrible addict, a habit that started as early as thirteen, and now drugs are his world. He would never call himself an addict, or dependent for that matter, but his heavy use of Ketamine aka "Special K" and Ecstasy (and the occasional snip of the magic powder every now and then) would definitely suggest otherwise. Due to his toxic personality Elli naturally drives people away after a while. In fact the drugs started due to his co dependency issues. Perhaps it's from the fact his father left him at the age of four with an overbearing, psychotic, alcoholic, pill-popping mother. Or maybe it's because he was given 'special attention' by that priest back when he was an altar boy. Or even caused by the fact that his very first boyfriend and first love choose family over Elli. It could even be a mixture of all three. But whatever caused it Elli no suffers from co-dependency and clingyness. This has caused him many heartbreaks over the years and has made him paranoid that everyone will abandon him. Thankfully Elli's guardian angel, Matthew Sinclair, showed up to rescue him. Now Elli seems to be functioning at a somewhat normal level.

He adores high heels and wears them with just about anything. He also loves Alexander McQueen; often wearing his creations. Elli has connections with a guy named Jacque back in Manhattan who pulls strings to get Elli the newest stuff right as it comes off the runway.
- - Overall Appearance

Elliot Nathaniel Merrick is a sight to behold, really. He is a already rather tall boy who favors five inch heels and drag as his daily wear. If one took a good look at him, with his messy blonde hair and pretty blue eyes they'd see an already beautiful boy. Add in his impossibly high cheekbones, small bone structure, and narrow waist and you're looking at something much more devestatingly beautiful. When Elli is in full drag (especially when he is wearing a wig or has his hair grown out), one could easily mistake him for a girl. He's gotten himself into many sticky and often violent situations when a jock takes him home and is shocked to see his boy bits, if they were otherwise expecting a female. Elli loves drag though, and its rare to see him in anything truly masculine. Even his jeans and pants are girl-cut.

Elli is a label whore which shows in the clothes he often wears out. Shoes that would cost a normal person several paychecks to save up for, dresses that hit upwards of $5,000 a dress, and special events dresses that you would pass out seeing the price tag for. But with an extremely rich mother who is an heiress to a never-ending supply of money, it's only natural. To him dropping a small fortune on a shopping spree to Barney's and Neiman Marcus is a drop in the bucket. He loves heels, in case you hadn't noticed, and has enough shoes in his home to wear a different pair every day for several years without ever wearing the same ones twice. Handbags are also a big thing for Elli, evident in the ridiculous ammount he has stored in his various homes. Retail therapy is the best type of therapy, and often not much more expensive then a therapist. But, over-all, you'll find Elli's taste in clothing very bright and in-your-face. He loves to wear things that make a room pay attention and jaws drop. To him Haute Couture is his religion and the VIP catalogues are his bible. In particular he is in love with vintage Chanel, YSL shoes, and Alexander McQueen (RIP).

Daniel is a womanizing, Wall Street business man. He couldn't take being monogomous and instead decided he needed to be a single man. Despite the fact he had a son to take care of. He, like the rest of the Merrick family, has his addictions of choice; cocaine and hookers. Daniel has been the focus of multiple scandals over the years, all of which he's gotten out of. He has had no contact with his son aside from the typical Christmas and birthday calls/gifts sent each year. As far as Elizabeth and Elli know, he is still living in a townhouse in Manhattan.
- - Mother:
Elizabeth is your sterotypical hands-off Manhattanite housewife. She grew up a Burkhart heiress to a hotel chain and business empire in Manhattan with her parents. She was a spoiled, high-matainance diva; much like her son. She married Daniel and the couple were married for three years before Elli came along. She, if we're being truthful, married Daniel for his money despite being loaded herself. After the divorce the addictions kicked in and she barely acknowledged Elli. She took to her booze and prescription pills and left the help to raise her son. She still doesn't have a terribly strong relationship with him, but they get along well at family gatherings.

- - Other relationships: Matthew Sinclair; Matty is Elli's lover and partner of 6 years. He has yet to be able to commit to Matty in the form of a real relationship. Matty has been his lifeline and his savior through various issues, two different ODs, and a few too many bad situations. He is Elli's world, no Elli's universe. But Elli is so scared of falling in love again, after what happened to Koty, that he refuses to let himself become that close to Matty.
- - History:
Elliot Nathaniel Merrick was born to Daniel and Elizabeth Merrick, and was to be their only child. Elli's father is a fortune 500 CEO and his mother is an heiress. Elliot was born into a rich lifestyle and has never forgotten that as it shows in his flagrant showing of money now. Elli had a rather average first four years aside from having the worst case of terrible two the staff had ever seen. At the age of four everything changed for poor Elliot. His parents got divorced and his mother became one of the 'hands-off' Manhattan moms, leaving him to be raised by an extensive staff. His mother began even that young to lose herself in booze and self-help books. By the time young Elliot was seven his mother had totally abandoned him, despite living in the same house, for prescription pills. Indeed, addiction is something genetically rampant in the Merrick history. His mom was the pill popping boozer and his dad had an unhealthy addiction to prostitutes and heavy liquor.

Growing up Elliot behaved just as any other spoiled, trust-fund ladened youth by throwing temper tantrums and expecting all eyes on him. Despite being an only child he was also forced into well-scheduled playdates complete with a full itenerary for the kids. His mother would shake herself out of her stupor long enough to catch up on gossip and brag about how Elliot was far advanced in school and already learned the basics of German. Elliot got along exceptionally with the other kids provided he didn't have to share and was the boss, in other words it was a disaster. Enrolled there-after in manners classes he became the prim young heir that any family would be proud of. At the age of eight he already knew place-settings and Elementary II German. His mother sunk back into oblivion and it was left to Alissa, the head domestic, to take on mothering duties. And she remained that way for some time. Elliot began showing signs as early as eight that he wasn't like the other little boys, showing no interest in sports or rough-and-tumble play. Rather, he spent the majority of his time with the girls gossiping and doing their hair and makeup. He picked up his first sewing needle at age ten and began doing upcycles for some of the little girls. That Christmas his mother bought Elliot his first sewing machine and it's been a passion for him ever since.

At the age of ten his mother decided it would be only right for him to be an altar boy at the local Our Lady Of Sorrows Catholic church. He was thrown into the role and did his best to grin and bear it while he secretly hated the feeling of being in a church. Father Rafael decided that Elliot needed special training. Well this only turned out to be a code name for terrible molestation he did to poor Elliot for two years. Finally Elliot stopped showing up, as if his mother would have noticied, but the memory still haunts him.

By his first year of middle school Elliot no longer went by his very boyish name. He began having everyone call him Elli (sounds like Ellie) and openly embraced the fact he was not masculine. He would host fashion shows with the neighborhood girls, have sleep overs that involved a lot of ice cream and oohing over hot new fall looks. He began doing the hair and makeup for the older daughters of some of his mother's staff for events like homecoming and prom. He did his own clothing line for a local upscale shop where they were sold hour within a week. Throughout his first two years of middle school the boys around him adjusted to his feminity but then the bullying started when football season did. Elliot was beaten up on a daily basis and called terrible names for being so dainty. He even had a couple of boys catch him in a bathroom...and well he just doesn't want to even remember it. In order for Elliot to forget he turned to drugs. At first it was a few of the pretty pills his mom left around and some pot when he could score it. Then a friend introduced him to Ketamine, or it's street name "Special K", for the first time and he loved the feeling of sinking into what one would call a 'K-hole'. Ketamine is used by vets as an animal tranqulizer and a friend of his had a parent who was a plastic surgeon using it for some new anti-aging thing.

In his freshman year he got premission from his mother to attend Rosedale Prep in Milan. His mother upon hearing it was a good school and would look good for Elli to go to college (and then become rich sometime after) gave her blessing. Alissa retired that summer and told him she would not be coming back. She said he had become such a strong, talented, amazing person and would become famous some day. After a particularly teary goodbye Elli left for school. He arrived at the new school in a flourish of fabulousness and glitter intent on getting the school to notice him. This proved to be no problem as the kids were gossiping about the new kid who showed up in a skirt and five inch heels for the first day of class. Elli also hooked up with a cousin of his that introduced him, illegally one would add, to the world of clubbing. Elli finally found a place for himself to fit it! It was all throbbing techno, hot sweaty people, and lots of free-flowing drugs.

In the course of two weeks he'd met a new kid named Koty and began experimenting with ecstasy. By the middle of his freshman year he was a full blown party, drug-addict with a boy he was falling for like crazy. Koty and he became a couple and stayed together until the end of their freshman year. By the end of the school year Elli had become out of control with his drugs. He finally ODed in the bathroom of a club his mother's brother owned and was rushed to the hospital. He survived but a week after his release he was shipped to rehab. When he managed to get his mother to get him out he went to visit Koty. Koty's dad caught the two kissing and went ballistic. Koty was forced to choose between Elli and his family, and of course he chose his family.

Elli spent he next weeks moving back from Milan then laying in bed, crying and having his gilfriends come to console him. Elli's friends drug him out of bed to go to a new store that had opened up where he locked eyes with a gorgeous redhead. The boy was Matthew James Sinclair aka Matty. He walked over and began talking to the boy who seemed quite interested in Elli's leopard print stilletos. The two exchanged numbers and met the next day for coffee and shopping. Within a week the two had fallen for each other and after three weeks made it official. When Elli's mother decided to send him away for school again, hoping the change would help him, he took Matty with him. The two ended up at Heights Academy in Manhattan where they started their first day of Sophomore year in much the same way Elli started his freshman year. The two were, and have remained, well known in the school. Though Elli's personality makes it hard for most people to tolerate him. The two graduated (admid two more ODs on Elli's part), and after one last stint in rehab they decided to leave Manhattan. With Elli's checkbook and Matty's eyes full of stars the two headed for Seattle to try to get away from the hustle and bustle of NYC, eventually landing last year in a large townhouse in Seattle. Elli is determined to make it big as an actor or a fashion designer. He's taken up a job as a club promoter and has been moonlighting as the Fabulous Heiress Elli Merrick, though his drug addictions aren't far behind.

Elli has remained with Matty all these years, but he is far too scared to fully comitt. He is scared of being loved and loving someone, after all he's been through, and is content with the way things are. But this is also a very bad thing due to his codependency on Mattykins. Maybe someday he can say it and mean it..that he loves Matthew Sinclair.
