personality:Dev is a withdrawn, sweet, sensitive guy that has a random, goofy sense of humor and a love, no passion, for music. He is kind of naive when it comes to relationships, and is a bit blinded by them. All a pretty girl has to do is bat her eyelashes and he'll be falling, though it doesn't take long for him to collect himself. He hates to cry in front of anyone and sometimes can come off as a jerk because he tries to hide his emotions, therefore coming off as emotionless. But that's so not the case. He's a friendly guy with a lot of stored problems, and gets picked on a lot because of his style and quietness. Dev tends to let normal complications eat at him, like if someone makes fun of him instead of shrugging it off, he lets it eat at him. However, he will stand up for himself, and is actually quite popular because he's, well, adorable.
history: Dev's parents never let him have it easy, and kept him on a very tight leash for years and years. He learned to be afraid of his father, and therefore never conjured the nerve to rebel. He would lock himself in his room and think, and write music. His music had always been there for him, an escape, and although he learned to play several instruments he always leaned towards singing. His mother and father divorced when he was thirteen, and as horrid as it may sound- he was glad they did. He no longer lived in the same household with his emotion abusing father. For about a year he'd spend the weekends with his father in a city about an hour from Seattle, but those stopped shortly after. Neither really cared about the other, so why make the trip?
For years Dev had been crushing on this girl, Renee, who'd been pretty and probably the most popular girl in school. Dev, although noticed by a lot of girls, couldn't seem to grab her attention until he turned fifteen. Someone let it slip that Dev had a crush on her, and Renee used that to her advantage. They dated for a couple of months, were proclaimed the cutest couple of their grade, until she got pregnant. No, it wasn't a cheating scam, the child is devyns, and although he adores his son the same couldn't be said for Renee. Their relationship started to fall apart when she realized she was pregnant, and once the baby was born she wanted nothing to do with them.
Renee made sure Devyn suffered for being the father, and would have happily made him take care of their son if it weren't for a few, selfish reasons. Renee realized upon having the child that her parents would be supporting her, giving her cash, spoiling both the baby and she, and not to mention Cordin (their son) drew lots of attention from others. Although she couldn't care less about her child, she keeps him around becasue he benefits her in ways he doesn't even know of and doesn't allow Dev to see him just so he'll suffer further.
relationships: Dev would have quite a few friends, but only a fewer close ones. One best guy friend would be awesome! As for enemies, he would have his bullies/tormenters, and the of course there's Renee and her followers. Not many people would know he was the father, and everyone honestly thinks that Renee cheated on him and that's why they broke up. Lovers...hmm, well he would have his crushes, but a legit relationship would be complicated for him, since he is still getting over his breakup with Renee.
