Bio: Marie was born to Amy and Chase Massone on November 12, 1992 in Boston, Massachusetts. She was raised in a largely Catholic family that attended services on a weekly basis and helped with any charities they could come across over the years. Most of Marie's childhood was spent tending to animals at the local animal shelter where she came across an adorable kitten who had been found in a gutter in the city. The kitten was soon adopted to the Massone family and became a crucial part of the family life in their home. This cat was Marie's best friend since they met, and fond memories of the cat frequently come back to her even now.
Marie met Sterling in 6th grade when she switched from Catholic elementary school to public middle school. Marie's mother had died from lung cancer that summer, and the family could no longer afford to send the young girl to private school. When she switched schools, Marie had no friends and found refuge in the band room of the small school whenever possible. She spent so many days after school hiding in the musical room and eventually walked in one day to find another student had found her secret getaway. Sterling and Marie hit it off well and became very close friends, bonding over their shared love for music.
Marie and Sterling entered high school as best friends and spent nearly all of their time together. They took the final step into being in a relationship when Marie came into the high school band room one day and saw Sterling standing in the middle of a sea of battery-powered candles and roses spread around the area he was standing. He played a song he wrote specifically for her, asking her to be his girlfriend and for her to go to the Freshman semi-formal with him. Obviously, she couldn't resist.
Marie and Sterling stayed together all the way through high school with very few fights or separations. Their parents insisted on taking tons of pictures, as most parents do, and the couple was excited about what the future held for them. On the night of graduation, Marie and Sterling spent a romantic night at a local hotel to celebrate the end of one period of their lives and the beginning of another. Things got a bit steamy and one thing lead to another, the couple taking a big step in their relationship and consummating their love for each other. The happy bliss lasted for a few days until Marie began feeling sick every morning and not being able to go out and do things with Sterling. After a few days, Marie realized what her sickness could be caused by and took a pregnancy test to see if her suspicions were actually fact.
A pregnancy was not good for their young relationship and for the futures both planned as musicians trying to become famous and spread their talents to the world. She had no one to talk to except her father, who had become an excessive alcoholic and was never around to take care of her. Marie packed a bag filled with as much as she could carry, left her home, got an abortion without telling anyone, and left town as soon as the procedure was completed. She spent a few weeks traveling from one location to another using the debit card she had access to and the money she collected through her various jobs over the years. When she finally came to Washington, Marie had sworn never to return home because she was too embarrassed that she had managed to get pregnant at such a young age and had not told Sterling. She had no idea how he was faring, but she knew he would find better things without her around to hold him back.
personality: She loves taking care of people because of her mothering nature that she developed from working at the animal shelter. However, she has been fighting herself to be something she truly isn't through pretending to not care about anything or anyone else other than herself. She loves music and anything related to music, one of her dreams being to go to Hollywood and become famous.
friends: She doesn't really have friends since she's new to town, but would love to have people to spend some time with and pretend that they would take care of her if something happened.
enemies: Most people don't like her personality, so she would definitely have at least a few enemies.
lovers: She is madly in love with Sterling, but tries to cloud this love with different flings. No matter how hard she tries, she can't hide her feelings for Sterling which makes her depressed since she left him to be on his own and he probably does not love her anymore.
