WREN MARIE HARRISON

This is Wren Marie Rains, and she really only goes by Wren. She's a twenty year old girl who is currently a college. She's totally single and makes the boys and girls wish they had her heart. She's really quite caring, anxious, and determined. Though Wren is also known for being mouthy, sarcastic, and standoffish, she's really a great girl. So, why don't we get to know her a bit?

Wren Marie Raines was the fourth-born child of Candice Hall. She and her next-in-age older sister Lainee were the children of Candice and a man named John Raines, who also fathered Candice's son Luke (born two years after Wren). Candice was not the mothering type. A teenage rebel who lived too fast and too hard for her age she had her twin girls Jennifer and Jessica at sixteen (completely unknowning of who the father was). Jennifer & Jessica were adopted off to Candice's aunt. Two years later she was pregnant again with another little girl named Misty. Misty was kept for a year and a half before she was adopted off to family in northern TN. Three years after the birth of Misty she got with John and they reproduced yet another girl named Lainie. Candice's body was overworked from producing so many children in such a short ammount of time. Though, this wasn't the only reason Lainie and the next two children were so sick. You see, Candice was a crack cocaine and heroin addict who drank too much and did anything she had to to be able to afford to pay for her drugs and occasionally her kid's care. Rumors from people she knew were that she might have been prostituting as well as donating blood and plasma into her third trimester.

In either case some stroke of misfortune left Lainie with the crack addict parents. Two years later baby Wren was born. Wren's system was weakened from the worst of the drug abuse. Which, according to friends of the woman, went into her fourth month with cigarettes and alcohol being used up until she was seven months pregnant. Wren was born a severely sick child. Her heart rhythm was off and it was by a sheer miracle she wasn't born mentally retarded or some form of a 'syndrome' baby. CPS got involved with the parents who cleaned up their act just long enough to get the state from breathing down their necks before the drug and alcohol abuse began again. Candice soon grew tired of being a mother and did her best to ship off Lainie to a relative in Texas who sent the toddler back after she refused to eat and began stress-induced hair pulling. No one was willing to take Wren simply because of her medical issues. In fact little Wren's heart stopped three times before she was three months old due to crack cocaine smoke being blown in her face and lack of nutrition.

Two years after Wren was born her mother gave birth to a baby boy named Luke. Wren had since gotten into well enough shape though still relied heavily on her four year old sister to care for her, causing an unbreakable bond between the sisters. The mothering instinct so absent in Candice came full force when Luke was born and Wren did all she could to care for the baby boy. Lainie took Wren's lead and also began to dote on the infant. Between the two girls he managed to survive.

Growing up Candice and John couldn't hold down jobs long enough to keep up with regular rent so Wren grew up keeping most of her life in two Barbie suitcases and boxes. It was normally a year before they had to move yet again, living their lives like gypsies. Wren never made many friends in her younger years due to the constant moving though they finally found stable if not dangerous housing in the ghetto in a small town in Tennessee when Wren was eight years old. By then she seemed to be excelling far beyond expected of her in school and showed a true, determined look on her schooling. Lainie did okay and Luke wasn't too good at school. Wren bonded with a few girls in her class who took to her leadership skills and easily followed her every word.

Wren managed to make it through elementary school when Misty came back to live with them when she was eleven. Misty and Wren weren't terribly close though she did spend time with the older sister. Luke took almost immediately to Misty and became sort of a project for the sixteen year old. When Becca was almost fourteen the state came in after someone reported signs of neglect in little Luke. The mixed family was sent into foster care where only Wren and Lainie managed to stay together. The other siblings were divided up among various foster homes and haven't seen one another since. This is where the start of her abandonment issues lies.

Lainie and Wren were shipped off to Nashville where they landed in a chaotic home of seven foster kids. They lived there for nearly six months before they finally settled in with a nice, 30 something couple. Less than a year later Lainie got pregnant and had a baby boy. Wren was crushed at her sister's repeating of the same cycle they'd lived in since childhood. Wren and Lainie's bond suffered a little as she promptly left the house and moved in with her boyfriend. The fear of being abandoned by everyone continued when the couple she was living with gave her up and she went back into the foster care system. She cycled through four temporary foster homes before she was sixteen. Because of her issues with being abandoned she didn't keep friends very long, either.

Wren struggled a little in school before a twenty-eight year old single woman took her in and began training her in psychology, a passion of her's since childhood, and did all she could to provide a future for the child. The two have been inseperable since though Wren still fears she'll be left. Relationships have never been a strong point for her either as she came off as clingy to boys her age and had her share of bad relationships before graduation.

When she was seventeen her foster mother formally adopted her, giving her the last name Harrison. Wren finally felt like her life was coming into order. The next spring she graduated third in her class. Almost immediately after her graduation party Wren and Isobelle packed up and moved to Seattle, Washington for Isobelle's job as a journalist. There Wren met her best friend Tabby who has been by her side ever since. The family lived happily for another year before Isobelle came down with cancer and nearly died. The paranoia of losing someone else, of being abandoned, caused a mental breakdown in Wren and she was hospitalized for several weeks until she was formally diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Night Terror Disorder, and PTSD. Isobelle is currently in remission though Wren worries constsantly about Isobelle's cancer coming back and killing her. Wren came in as a freshman Psychology major at Washington State University a few months ago.

Wren is quite the unique bird. She has some mild social anxiety that she moves past quickly if you show her you aren't a threat. Wren is a extremely protective girl who loves people whole heartedly. Though if you piss her off she is capable of holding a grudge for a very long time. This doesn't mean she won't trust you again, though. Sometimes she will actually forgive people only to get burned again. Wren is hyper and quite random at times. Though this is one of the reasons why her friends love her. She's extremely determined and will do whatever comes to her mind. So impulsive in a way. She is anxious and suffers from generalized anxiety disorder. Wren also is mouthy and often her mouth writes checks that her butt can't cash. She is obsessive and a bit psycho at times, though this is only when she is highly stressed. She's got a huge heart but sometimes comes off as naive. Wren is also constantly fearful of people abandoning her.

Wren suffers from a general bit of social anxiety. Though if you show her you aren't a threat she'll bond with you rather quickly. I see her having a few close friends and a lot of people she cares/dotes over. Her best friend is a girl by the name of Tabby Andrews. Open for plotting!

As for enemies I see her having a few. Though she does tend to run off at the mouth. And her childlike, hyperactivity is sometimes seen as annoying to others.
